They say that having a beauty mark is a good thing because having one could help you be alluring to someone, but how knowledgeable are you with thing particular marks also known as ‘Moles’.

Moles usually are small spots of darkened pigment on the skin that mostly in circular shapes and considered as additional facial features in our body. But some moles are not benign as we used to think.

Here are the three most common types of Skin Cancer

1. Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) – is the most common type of skin cancer that you can usually see in your face, nose and even in your lips. Mostly Asian mistaken this BCC as normal moles but it just gives a misleading vibe that instead of a pigmented small bump, some notices it as a mole.

2. Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) – is the second type of skin cancer. Usually, it can be found in the area of the body that are overexposed under the sun as it grows mostly on damaged skin. If this mole is not treated right away, it could be deadly without proper skin cancer screening.

3. Melanoma – is the most malignant skin cancer that should be treated right away without delays. It has a dark brown to black mole in irregular shapes that are usually sores. This type of cancer can spread in every part of the body and if ignored it could be fatal and can be considered as deathly.

After the consultation with your dermatologist, you can now proceed to have your skin cancer screening by having a skin biopsy, blood test, and surgical excision.
